In November of 2004, Shihan Manuel, along with many of his instructors and students, traveled to Pittsburgh, PA for the USA/International Black Belt Hall of Fame.  This annual event, sponsored by the Eastern USA/International Martial Arts Association, brings together martial artists from all over the world for an event that includes superb seminars and two extraordinary awards ceremonies.  Soke John Kanzler is the Executive Director of the organization and served as the master of ceremonies during the awards ceremonies. Several instructors and students were inducted into the Hall of Fame and Shihan Manuel received an award for Humanitarian Achievement, receiving a standing ovation for his life-long dedication to the martial arts.  Shihan Manuel also conducted a seminar demonstrating the curriculum of the Modern Bujutsu Centers, featuring Goju Karate, Kickboxing, and Aiki-jutsu.
